German police conduct raids at Deutsche Bank sites

SUMMARY

The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) is searching Deutsche Bank's headquarters in Frankfurt and a location in Berlin due to suspected money laundering. Around 30 investigators began their operation on Wednesday morning. The public prosecutor's office revealed that the investigation targets "previously unknown responsible persons and employees of Deutsche Bank." The bank allegedly maintained relationships with foreign firms linked to money laundering. Deutsche Bank confirmed the investigation and stated it is cooperating with authorities, but has not provided further details. Sources indicate that this situation is highly sensitive.
