Tesla to open first showroom in India on Tuesday and begin deliveries in July

Tesla is set to open its first showroom in India in Mumbai on Tuesday, aiming to start deliveries by late August. This marks the company's formal entry into the country, allowing customers to view pricing, variants, and trim options. Model Y SUVs, shipped from China, have already arrived. A second showroom in New Delhi is also expected to open soon.

Tesla's entrance comes at a critical time as global sales have declined. The Model Y’s acceptance in India could indicate how consumers respond to high import tariffs. Initial sales will focus on VIPs, with public access beginning the following week.
