Dallas ICE shooter named as Joshua Jahn who killed two ICE detainees then himself
Joshua Jahn, 29, was identified as the sniper who killed two ICE detainees and wounded others at a Dallas ICE facility. The attack occurred Wednesday at 7am CT, targeting an unmarked transport van. Jahn fired from an elevated position, later found dead on a nearby roof.
Bullets engraved with “Anti-ICE” messages were discovered near Jahn’s body, indicating an ideological motive, per FBI Director Kash Patel. No law enforcement officers were injured, but one victim remains in serious condition. ICE Director Todd Lyons heightened facility alerts nationwide.
Texas Governor Abbott vowed increased deportations, stating, “This assassination will NOT slow our arrest, detention, & deportation of illegal immigrants.” Senator Cruz condemned rhetoric inciting violence, saying, “We should not be putting language out there that inspires mad men to commit evil crimes.”
The facility faced prior attacks, including a bomb threat by Bratton Dean Wilkinson on August 25 and a July 4 assault in Alvarado, Texas, where 10 were arrested for shooting at officers.
