China developing quantum radars to track US stealth jets

China has begun mass production of a photon detector for quantum radars, aiming to track advanced stealth jets like the F-22. This ultra-low noise detector is capable of sensing single photons and could enhance military capabilities in detecting and tracking stealth aircraft.

Current stealth technologies could be challenged by quantum radars, which use properties of photons to detect aircraft even if they employ countermeasures against traditional radars.

These radars are said to be more power-efficient and versatile, potentially revolutionizing detection methods for low-visibility targets. Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy is advancing its sixth-generation fighter jet program, raising concerns about air dominance in the region.
