Harry and Meghan sign new multi-year Netflix deal

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a new multi-year deal with Netflix to produce films, TV shows, and documentaries. Their first project will be a documentary short about a Ugandan orphanage, Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within. In December, Meghan will present a holiday special of her show With Love, Meghan, featuring cooking and crafting ideas.

They are also developing projects across genres, including an adaptation of the novel Meet Me at the Lake. Meghan stated, “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners” at Netflix. Netflix will have first option on their film and TV projects. Their previous deal, worth over $100 million, was set to expire soon. They have faced challenges in securing hits after mixed reviews on their shows.
