Prince Harry sued for defamation by his former charity Sentebale

In March 2025, Sentebale filed a defamation claim against Prince Harry and trustee Mark Dyer following a public dispute with board chair Sophie Chandauka. The charity alleged that a "co-ordinated adverse media campaign" since March 25 had harmed its reputation.

A spokesperson for Harry and Dyer denied the claims. Sentebale, co-founded by Harry, aims to help vulnerable children in Lesotho.

The dispute arose over new fundraising strategies and was worsened by the pandemic's impact on charity operations. The Charity Commission criticized both parties for handling the issue publicly, damaging the charity's reputation and its ability to serve its beneficiaries.
