Debris of plane with 49 people aboard found in Russia's far east

SUMMARY

Debris from a Russian passenger plane with about 50 people on board has been found in the far east of Russia. The An-24 aircraft was operated by Angara airline and disappeared from radar while approaching Tynda in the Amur region.

Regional Governor Vasily Orlov reported that there were 43 passengers, including five children, and six crew members.

He stated on Telegram, “All necessary forces and means have been deployed to search for the plane.” The emergencies ministry reported an estimated 40 people on board.
