Police department in the US presents coat of arms with Arabic lettering

Dearborn Heights Police in Michigan has introduced a new optional patch featuring both English and Arabic text. This patch is meant to recognize the diversity in the community, where nearly 39% of residents are of Middle Eastern or North African descent. The patch symbolizes unity and respect.

The area has a notable Muslim population and has made headlines for its pro-Muslim decisions. However, in recent times, it has become a center for anti-Israel sentiments, with protests featuring calls for violence against America and Israel.
