Chinese Navy adds largest amphibious warfare ship to its fleet

China's People's Liberation Army Navy has commissioned its fourth Type 075 amphibious assault ship, named CNS Hubei. The new vessel showcases operational upgrades and refined design features.

CNS Hubei joins the fleet alongside earlier models, enhancing the navy's amphibious capabilities. The Type 075 class, regarded as landing helicopter dock vessels in the West, is the largest amphibious warfare ship class built by China.

Four such ships are now in service. Additionally, a larger model, the Type 076, is under construction, promising further advancements. CNS Fujian, China's third aircraft carrier, is nearing commissioning, equipped with an electromagnetic catapult for launching aircraft.
