Russia evacuates 198 more staff from Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant

Rosatom evacuated 198 employees from Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant, continuing evacuations since the Iran war began in February.

This evacuation was planned prior to the International Atomic Energy Agency reporting that a staff member was killed by a projectile fragment and that the plant sustained damage.

Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev noted that developments near the plant were "unfolding in line with the worst-case scenario." He confirmed the deceased was an Iranian national.

Likhachev also stated that he had informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about the situation at the plant.
