Boy, 17, stabbed to death at Bedford bus station

A 17-year-old boy, Thomas Taylor, was fatally stabbed in Bedford while walking near the bus station. The attack happened on Wednesday evening when he was approached by a group of males.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, he died shortly after.

Police have launched a murder investigation and describe the attackers as black males wearing dark clothing, fleeing towards Hassett Street and Greyfriars car park.

Detective Chief Inspector Katie Dounias called the incident "absolutely shocking" and urged witnesses to come forward.

Thomas was remembered as a "popular, well liked, and respected lad" by his school headteacher.
