CIA denies that it used 'MKUltra' on Trump shooter

The CIA has publicly denied conspiracy theories suggesting that it used MKUltra to train the shooter who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump. This response follows claims from far-right social media accounts linking the July 13 incident to a secret CIA program.

The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, acted alone and had no connection to the CIA, according to agency representatives. A CIA spokesperson stated, “These claims are utterly false, absurd, and damaging,” clarifying that MKUltra was shut down over 40 years ago.
