US strikes Iran's Larak Island in first attack in weeks

The U.S. has launched airstrikes on Larak Island in Iran, marking the first attack since late July. A U.S. official stated the strikes targeted launchers aimed at the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the attack and vowed retaliation, stating, “This act will be responded to by the sons of Islamic Iran and will result in punishment of the aggressor.”
