Vinod Khosla agrees to purchase Seahawks

SUMMARY

Vinod Khosla, a limited partner of the San Francisco 49ers, has agreed to purchase the Seattle Seahawks for a record $9.612 billion. This deal, pending owner approval, will require the Khosla family to relinquish their stake in the 49ers and take control of the Seahawks.

Khosla expressed honor in being the next stewards of the franchise, aiming to continue the legacy of Paul Allen. The Seahawks were sold following their Super Bowl victory and have been owned by Allen's estate since his death in 2018. They are recognized for their strong management and competitive history, making the playoffs in seven of the last ten years.
