Alien visitation beliefs are 'spiraling out of control'

Dr. Tony Milligan from King's College London warns that beliefs in alien visitations are growing into a significant societal issue.

His upcoming paper highlights how social media amplifies these beliefs, making it harder for scientific facts to get through. Milligan states, "This belief is slightly paradoxical as we have zero evidence that aliens even exist." The rise in claims from former government officials further fuels public interest.

He argues traditional debunking methods are insufficient and calls for a more engaged scientific response. Milligan emphasizes the importance of rigorous scientific inquiry to separate credible research from speculation.
