China's trade surplus reaches $1 trillion for the first time

SUMMARY

China's trade surplus surpassed $1 trillion for the first time despite a significant drop in exports to the United States due to tariffs imposed by President Trump. U.S. imports from China fell nearly 29% this year. However, overall exports from China rose by 5.9% in November, as the country successfully increased sales to customers in Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia. While tariffs peaked at 145% earlier this year, they have since been reduced to 47.5%. These strategies have helped China maintain strong trade relations globally.
