Ukraine's prime minister steps down in major government reshuffle

Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has resigned amid a significant government reshuffle initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky announced that “Ukraine is changing its political strategy,” aiming to assign experienced leaders for foreign policy areas.

While he did not name a successor, he emphasized the need for personnel changes. Svyrydenko acknowledged the shift in her own post, highlighting the importance of unity for Ukraine's strength.

Zelensky expressed gratitude for her tenure and indicated that parliamentary approval is needed for her resignation, which may lead to a new government. Changes are also expected among law enforcement agency leaders.
