SUMMARY

The UK has deployed a 100kg military observation satellite named Titania to monitor activity from space. Built by BAE Systems, Titania launched from California on a SpaceX rocket and joins the earlier Tyche spacecraft.

Titania is part of the ISTARI initiative, which will expand into a network of British-built satellites including Juno and Oberon. The Ministry of Defence is also trialling Project Inaros to track space threats.

These efforts are backed by over £3 billion in space capability investment to boost national security and jobs.
