Palm Beach plane crash co-pilot was just 20 years old

Nathalia Gadelha, 20, was identified as the co-pilot killed in a Learjet 60 crash in Palm Beach County that killed all nine aboard.

Her parents confirmed her identity. Gadelha earned a private pilot’s license at 17 through her high school’s Aviation Academy, trained with her father, and graduated from American Flyers flight school while pursuing a career as a commercial pilot.

Flight data shows the jet plunged more than 20,000 feet per minute en route from Austin to the Bahamas before striking the ground. The FAA and NTSB are investigating.
