Abdullah Khan, a 24-year-old self-described jihadi, has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison on terrorism charges. He set fire to the Black Forge Inn, a Dublin pub owned by Conor McGregor, and four days later attacked two police officers with a knife.

Khan poured petrol on the pub’s door and set it alight on July 25, 2025, then assaulted the officers on Capel Street on July 29. He pleaded guilty to all eight offences.

Police told the Special Criminal Court he belonged to a wider radical group. He faces four years of probation after release.
