Thomas Matthew Crooks' body was 'gone' when Rep. tried to examine

SUMMARY

The body of Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, was "gone" during an inspection by Rep. Clay Higgins. Crooks was shot by the Secret Service after opening fire at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Higgins disclosed that the FBI released the body for cremation ten days later, raising concerns of obstruction to the investigation. "This action by the FBI can only be described ... as an obstruction to any following investigative effort," Higgins stated. The congressman expressed doubts about the accuracy of reports and indicated that their investigation will continue.
