Ceuta seeks transfer of over 1,000 'unaccompanied migrant minors,' to mainland Spain

Ceuta, Spain, is facing a crisis with around 1,100 unaccompanied minors remaining after a wave of 72,000 migrants last week. Most migrants have returned to Morocco, but those minors are in makeshift accommodations, straining local reception centers.

Local leader Juan Jesus Vivas has called for urgent assistance, stating, "This is an absolutely unsustainable situation." Tensions between Spain's Popular Party and far-right Vox are rising over the handling of the minors. Vox's leader insists on not allocating funds for them.

Spain's government has allocated €25 million to support these minors. The process of identifying and relocating them may take months.
