SUMMARY

A new natural gas pipeline project in Alaska aims to tap into the Asian liquefied natural gas market. This 1,300-kilometer pipeline is expected to connect the state's northern and southern regions.

Adam Prestidge, president of Glenfarne Alaska LNG, announced plans to finalize financial commitments by the end of this year. The project aims to begin gas deliveries from the north to Anchorage by the end of 2028.

With a planned capacity of 20 million tons of LNG, this project could meet 30% of Japan's annual demand.
