RJ Mitte Dead at 34

SUMMARY

RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. across 56 episodes of “Breaking Bad,” has died at 34.

A county official said Mitte died by suicide Monday in Texas. Law enforcement said the death investigation remains open.

The news comes days after Mitte appeared on a podcast reflecting on how the series transformed his life and describing the bond he still shared with the cast. Earlier this month, he was photographed smiling alongside former costar Luis Moncada.

Mitte, who like his character lived with cerebral palsy, became a vocal advocate for better representation of disabled actors in Hollywood. Beyond “Breaking Bad,” he appeared in “The Oak Room,” “The Recall” and “The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You!).” He proposed to longtime partner Kennedy Suarez last year.
