Russia is shipping explosives to Iran to bolster its missile and drone arsenal

SUMMARY

Russia is shipping drone components, ammunition and explosives to Iran through the Caspian Sea, according to documents obtained from a European government. Neither the volume nor the number of deliveries since the war began has been disclosed.

It follows earlier reporting on Russian satellite imagery used to target U.S. bases and intelligence sharing with Tehran. In June, the Jerusalem Post reported Moscow handed Iran a list of 55 critical Israeli energy sites.

Separately, the Wall Street Journal cited Arab intelligence officials describing a strategic shift in Tehran, with forces readying to widen the war. Iran is ramping up drone and missile production and coordinating with proxies in Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon, reportedly giving Houthi rebels a list of Saudi targets.

Diplomacy has stalled. Iranian spokesperson Esmail Baqaei called the 60-day negotiating window irrelevant, blaming U.S. violations. Trump said Iran "should put up the white flag of surrender," adding he has no timetable.
