Iran vows 'not a single drop' of oil will leave Gulf if region complies with US plan

Iran has warned that no oil will leave the Persian Gulf if neighboring states join the U.S. economic pressure campaign. Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that countries participating would be treated as enemies. He added, “not a single drop of oil will leave the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz,” and threatened to target other export routes.

This warning follows U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's call for allies to isolate Iran economically. The situation escalated after the UAE suspended ties with Iran following missile incidents, which Tehran denies. The Strait of Hormuz currently sees increased shipping activity despite the U.S. Navy's blockade and Iranian threats.
