Macron to host call with EU leaders on social media ban for minors

French President Emmanuel Macron will host a video call with EU leaders and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to discuss banning social media for minors.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and officials from Italy, the Netherlands, and Ireland will join the meeting on Thursday.

Macron's office emphasized the goal is to coordinate efforts and encourage the European Commission to progress in unison with member states.
