American Fusion moves 5MW Texatron fusion engine closer to independent validation

American Fusion Inc. has completed its testing protocol for the 5 MW Texatron Fusion Engine, an important milestone for validating its aneutronic fusion technology. This testing will assess key parameters like plasma density and temperature, alongside neutron measurements, to verify performance.

The company plans to invite independent experts to observe testing and will release a third-party evaluation report. Additionally, American Fusion has expanded its patent portfolio with a new application covering a unique reactor housing design.

These advancements in fusion technology are significant, as fusion energy promises a clean electricity source by mimicking the Sun's energy generation. However, commercial fusion power remains a challenging goal, with no operational plants yet demonstrated.
